Remembering Nadia

At the time of Nadia’s death the family received an avalanche of letters from people who had known her. The Younes family was touched and proud to discover how Nadia touched the people she knew and especially how most people had a funny story to share, usually involving a lot of laughter! Some of these letters are included here.

A large number of articles were written at the time of the accident. Some of these articles pointed fingers of blame, others discussed the future of the UN as an effective international institution. Quite a few looked at Nadia the person and how a woman of Egypt, born in the middle of the last century could have achieved so much. You will find a mix of all these articles here. Also included are some poems that were received from colleagues and friends of Nadia.
