Dr. Bernard Kouchner, is the co-founder and former president of the Nobel Prize-winning Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). Kouchner has played an important role in the French political scene for the past 20 years, holding a number of ministerial positions including minister of health, and minister of state for humanitarian action. In 1999, he was appointed UN Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo, when he worked closely with Nadia Younes. Kouchner has since served as the minister of foreign affairs in France and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.
