Are Moussa is the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, a position he has held since 2001. Since his appointment, Moussa has been working on achieving his goals of making the Arab League a strong vehicle for the voice of the Arab nations and streamlining its operations, improving Arab economies, coordinatoring policies of member states and unifying their positions on critical issues, and helping to resolve the political conflicts in the region and in particular the Arab-Israeli conflict.
